I’m an author, online marketing strategist, and entrepreneur.
The ‘Corporate 9 to 5 or Be My Own Boss’ game used to live rent free in my mind. I get it.
You’re torn between pursuing the safe ‘9 to 5, health benefits included, make-my-parents-proud, low-risk’ cushion or the ‘I know I have what it takes to build my own path...I just need to ACT on it’ feeling.
I’ve tiptoed around both ends by working a mix of corporate and startups during school while sprinkling my downtime with creative hobbies such as my book publication and podcast launch. A few months before graduation, I needed a solid game plan (well, as solid as you can get in your early 20s).
So, I wrote up my own rulebook and made the plays to score BIG.
I’m talking…
Packaged up my 4+ years of social media experience into an online marketing service
Gathered Client Case studies that prove my methods
Founded (and still growing) a strong mental health awareness community that encourages women to choose progress over perfection through journaling tips, microblogs and video content
My affiliate and brand partnership experience started young.
After partnering with CBC Films and TELUS to produce brand campaigning content before I was 18, being a two-time winner of the world’s largest online storytelling platform and collectively reaching over 14,000,000 million views across my online stories, I understood the power of having a mass audience.
My creative side led to both university endeavours and passion projects outside the classroom. I published my first self-help book ‘Tired of Being Tired, Sick of Being Sad’ to help women re-align their self-worth and find beauty and healing in any mental health journey. The book reflects my own struggles with depression at a young age and clashes of cultural upbringing as a coloured woman.
In university, I served as an Executive Vice-President of the school Marketing Association and was selected amongst the Top 25% across Canada as a two-time semi-finalist in The Great Canadian Sales Competition.
I moved to Ireland alone when I was 19 and built a new life. Still actively involved in extracurriculars, I won first place in Dublin City University’s 2019 Public Speaking Competition and then third place in Ireland’s First Public Speaking Competition in 2019. I graduated as President of Her Campus DCU and applied my skills from these interactive and creative roles by establishing meaningful connections with everyone I meet, online and in person.
If you’ve made it this far, you and I wear the same shoes: you’re an independent go-getter with a love for helping people and you just know you have that spark to transform your passion into a sustainable, wildly successful career.
I hear you. I’ve been there.
Let me take you to a place that can make it happen.
So, you made it this far. Why don’t we combine brains and make something cool together?
What do you say?
